Mike has been providing plants for us in Apex since winter of 2019, more than a dozen deliveries. Some larger orders, some smaller. We started with primarily evergreen bordering trees and shrubs (chindo viburnums, green giants, hollies, various cedars, etc.). We’re starting the more ornamental phase of our large project on our 3 acre lot.As of this review, the plant count is 242. Not a single item has died, which is a testament to quality of the plants received since I’m a novice gardener and have made several mistakes, transplanting some items 3-6 months later. In fact, everything is flourishing. But I also do my research (Jim Putnam’s YouTube videos have been our go-to planning resource) and try to make sensible choices for the intended locations, we do amend our soil as needed and fertilize in the spring and/or fall. Once we’ve decided, I contact Mike.Mike is extremely responsive. He turns around competitive quotes quickly, usually same day, and depending on availability from the many nurseries he sources from, he usually delivers within a few business days. There is just no way I would take on the task of driving around shopping all these nurseries myself.Mike’s Trees2Go service has been invaluable to us. We highly recommend him.
Mike did a great job planting the trees in our backyard. He's very knowledgeable about trees and his pricing is very straightforward, no surprises. The website is great too, it has the entire tree catalog with all the prices, care instructions, and warranty information.
I purchased 4 trees plus planting and mulch. Mike planted the trees and I followed his tree care instructions exactly. In two weeks one tree had lost all the leaves, two weeks later two of the four trees had lost all the leaves. At 6 weeks three of the four trees had lost all the leaves. During this period I had contacted Mike and made watering adjustments per his instructions. Now three of the four trees are dead. Here is Mike’s comment about the trees:“OK, that is a shame they have not made it. They are finicky plants, planted at a hard time of year.”“When I do replace, it will be the mileage fee, plus the Retail Price ofthe plants, per my Partial Warranty. No planting fee. No tax.”He never told me before selling his services and products that the trees were finicky or that this was a hard time of year to plant.I am extremely disappointed. I don’t recommend trees2go.
I'm actually a little embarrassed regarding how many times we have used Trees2Go, and how much money we have spent with them. That being said, when we bought our 1 acre property, it had three trees on the entire lot. As I sit on our porch, I can count 16 trees/shrubs in the backyard that were purchased and delivered by Mike and his crew. In the front yard, we have another 12 trees and a massive foundation planting, all supplied by Trees2Go. Then, my neighbors and I spent the purchase, delivery and installation costs of a row of Green Giant Arborvitae along the road. Mike delivers consistently excellent products and his prices are great. We have had them install three 4'' caliper b&b oak trees and were extremely pleased with each. One of trees died within the first 12 months so they came out and replaced it for free. While I really like plants and trees, I have a hard time going to other nurseries since I know that I will get the best priced, plus delivery from Trees2Go. Whenever I have a list of items to purchase, Mike consistently has either that specific item or an easy alternative to fill my order. These guys are awesome.
